Jayden Brown Commits to UTSA
Mentor Cardinals quarterback Jayden Brown has committed to play for the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) in the Class of 2027. Brown, a dual-threat quarterback, will join the Roadrunners' program as they transition to a more pro-style offense. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound signal-caller cited the opportunity to compete for the starting job immediately as a major factor in his decision. UTSA's academic program, which offers a range of business and engineering majors, also appealed to Brown. He previously held a commitment to another program, but decommitted in May to explore other options. Brown's commitment to UTSA marks a significant addition to the Roadrunners' recruiting class, as he brings a strong arm and legs to the table. He is expected to participate in UTSA's summer camp in August to get acclimated to the team and coaches.
