Crusader Line Strength: Moeller's Power Trap Drill

๐Ÿ“ Archbishop Moeller CrusadersยทMonday, July 27, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

At Archbishop Moeller's storied football program, the Crusaders' linemen are known for their elite strength and power. To develop these traits, the coaching staff employs a drill that targets the power trap, a crucial technique for OL players. The Power Trap Drill consists of 3 sets of 8 reps, with a 2-minute rest between sets. Players line up in a 3-point stance, with their feet shoulder-width apart. On the whistle, they explosively drive their feet into the ground, keeping their back straight and their core engaged. As they drive, they aim to 'trap' the defender with their hands, securing a dominant position. This drill translates to game performance by enhancing OL players' ability to generate power and control in the trenches, making them nearly unstoppable.
