Isaiah Johnson Commits to University of Houston
Isaiah Johnson, a 2025 cornerback from Bixby High School, has committed to the University of Houston. Johnson, a 5-foot-11, 175-pound prospect, chose the Cougars over other Power Five offers. The Bixby Spartans' secondary is known for its aggressive man-to-man scheme, and Johnson believes Houston's defensive coordinator will allow him to utilize his skills. He also cited the opportunity to play immediately as a freshman, as the Cougars' secondary is expected to lose several key players. Johnson's commitment comes after a decommitment from Oklahoma State in April. The University of Houston's strong academic program and proximity to his home in Tulsa also factored into his decision. Johnson is expected to report to summer camp in August, where he will compete for a starting spot. He is the first 2025 prospect from Oklahoma to commit to the Cougars this cycle.
