Elijah White Commits to University of Houston
Bixby Spartans Linebacker Elijah White has committed to the University of Houston for the Class of 2026. The 5A standout chose the Cougars due to their athletic fit within the American Athletic Conference. Houston's 3-4 defensive scheme aligns with White's skillset, allowing him to utilize his speed and agility in a more physical role. White also cited the opportunity to contribute immediately on the depth chart as a key factor in his decision. Additionally, the University of Houston's strong academic program and research opportunities were attractive to the Class of 2026 student-athlete. White had previously considered other Power 5 programs, but ultimately chose the Cougars due to their overall fit. He is expected to enroll in the spring semester and participate in the 2026 summer camp.
