Stillwater Pioneers Hire New Strength and Conditioning Coordinator
The Stillwater Pioneers football program has announced the hiring of Alex Johnson as its new strength and conditioning coordinator. Johnson replaces longtime coordinator Mark Smith, who retired after last season. The Pioneers finished 7-4 in 2025, their first year in Class 5A, after moving up from Class 6A. The hiring is seen as a key move in the program's efforts to improve its depth and athleticism, particularly in the trenches. Recruiting has been a focus for the program this offseason, with several key additions expected to bolster the roster. The Pioneers will open fall camp in late August, with the regular season kicking off in early September. Johnson's experience working with college programs will be a valuable asset in helping the Pioneers compete in the rugged District 6-5A.
