DeShawn Johnson Commits to Baylor
Owasso Rams defensive end DeShawn Johnson has committed to Baylor University. Johnson, a Class of 2026 prospect, chose Baylor due to the program's fit with his athletic abilities. The Bears run a 3-4 scheme, which aligns with Johnson's skill set as a pass-rushing defensive end. Additionally, Baylor's depth chart at the position is expected to be competitive, providing Johnson with a chance to contribute early in his collegiate career. Johnson was also drawn to Baylor's academic program, which offers a strong business curriculum. Johnson had previously committed to Oklahoma State before decommitting in April. He attended Baylor's summer camp in June, where he reportedly impressed coaches with his pass-rushing skills. Johnson's commitment adds to Baylor's growing recruiting class for the Class of 2026.
