Quarterback Readiness: Jenks Trojans' Pre-Season Focus Drill

๐Ÿ“ Jenks TrojansยทFriday, July 24, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As the 2026 season approaches, Jenks Trojans' quarterbacks will be putting in extra work to stay ahead of the curve. One key drill that will be featured in their pre-season training is the '3-Step Drop and Scan' drill. This drill is designed to improve a quarterback's ability to read the defense and deliver the ball quickly and accurately. The drill consists of 3 sets of 10 reps, with a 30-second rest between sets. The quarterback will start in the shotgun formation, take 3 steps back, and then scan the defense for 3 seconds before dropping back to pass. Coaching cues will focus on proper footwork, keeping the eyes up, and delivering the ball on time. This drill will translate to game performance by allowing the quarterback to quickly read the defense and make accurate throws, giving the Trojans a competitive edge.
