Tigers' Takedown: Broken Arrow LBs Prepare for Gridiron with Aggressive Agility Drill

๐Ÿ“ Broken Arrow TigersยทThursday, July 30, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

To improve their speed and agility, Broken Arrow's 6A-I linebackers will be running the 'Tiger Takedown' drill this summer. The drill consists of 3 sets of 5 reps, with 30 seconds of rest in between each set. Players will start in a 3-point stance, then explosively sprint 10 yards to a designated cone, where they'll quickly change direction and jump over a small hurdle (set at 6 inches). As they clear the hurdle, they'll immediately transition into a defensive stance, ready to tackle an imaginary opponent. Coaching cues include 'quick feet' and 'aggressive eyes.' This drill translates to game performance by improving reaction time, agility, and overall speed. By incorporating the Tiger Takedown drill into their training, Broken Arrow's LBs will be better equipped to take on the competition this fall.
