Kicking It Up a Notch: Jesuit Crusaders' Kicker Prep Drill

๐Ÿ“ Jesuit CrusadersยทSaturday, July 11, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

At 6A powerhouse Jesuit Crusaders, kickers are working on their technique and endurance with a high-intensity drill. The 'Kicker Circuit' consists of three stations: a 20-yard dash, a 3-step ladder drill, and a 30-yard field goal attempt. Coaches will have kickers complete 3 sets of 5 reps at each station, with 30 seconds of rest between sets. Coaching cues include 'drive through' on the dash, 'small steps' in the ladder drill, and 'follow through' on the kick. This drill translates to game performance by improving speed, agility, and accuracy. It also simulates the physical demands of a live game, where kickers may need to quickly change direction and recover between attempts.
