Sheldon Irish CBs Get Ready for 6A Showdown with 'Mirror Man' Drill
This summer, Sheldon Irish cornerbacks are putting in the work with the 'Mirror Man' drill, a high-intensity exercise designed to improve reaction time and footwork. The drill involves two players: one as the 'Mirror Man' and the other as the receiver. The Mirror Man stands 5 yards off the receiver, mirroring their every move. On the coach's signal, the Mirror Man must quickly close the gap and match the receiver's speed and agility. The drill is performed for 3 sets of 10 reps, with a 30-second rest between sets. Coaching cues include 'Mirror their feet' and 'Close the gap.' This drill translates to game performance by forcing CBs to stay one step ahead of receivers, making it an essential addition to any 6A program's pre-season training regimen.
