Speed and Agility for S Players: The West Linn Lions' Shuttle Run Drill

๐Ÿ“ West Linn LionsยทTuesday, July 14, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

West Linn Lions' S players can take their game to the next level with this shuttle run drill. Designed to improve speed, agility, and reaction time, this drill is a must-have for any 6A program. The drill consists of 3 sets of 10 reps, with 30 seconds of rest in between sets. Players start at the 5-yard line, then sprint to the 10-yard line, back to the 5-yard line, and then to the 15-yard line. They must touch the line with both feet before changing direction. Coaching cues include 'quick feet' and 'stay low.' This drill translates to game performance by improving S players' ability to quickly close gaps and make tackles in space. By incorporating this drill into their summer training, West Linn Lions' S players will be well-prepared for the upcoming season.
