Elijah Brown, a 6-foot-2 quarterback from Central Catholic High School in Portland, Oregon, has committed to the University of Houston. Brown, a Class of 2025 prospect, chose the Cougars over other Power Five offers from Oregon and Washington State. The Central Catholic Rams quarterback cited Houston's Air Raid offense as a key factor in his decision, noting that it aligns with his playing style and strengths. Brown also expressed excitement about the opportunity to compete for a starting spot immediately, given the Cougars' depth chart situation. Additionally, he praised Houston's strong academic programs, which will support his interests in business and economics. Brown had previously committed to Oregon State before decommitting in April. He is expected to enroll at Houston in January 2025.
