DeShawn Hall Commits to SMU
DeShawn Hall, a 6-foot-4, 285-pound offensive lineman from Central Catholic High School in Portland, has committed to play for the University of Southern Methodist University. Hall, a Class of 2025 standout, chose SMU due to the Mustangs' pro-style offense, which aligns with his skills and playing style. He also cited the opportunity to contribute immediately as a freshman, given the team's current depth chart. Additionally, Hall was drawn to SMU's strong academic program, which offers a range of business and engineering majors. Hall had previously committed to the University of Oregon but decommitted in April to explore other options. He attended SMU's summer camp in June and developed a strong connection with the coaching staff. Hall's commitment to SMU adds to the Mustangs' growing talent pool for the 2025 recruiting class.
