Harrisburg Cougars Elevate Assistant Coach to Top Spot

๐Ÿ“ Harrisburg CougarsยทTuesday, June 30, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

The Harrisburg Cougars have announced the promotion of longtime assistant coach Mark Johnson to head coach. Johnson has spent the last four seasons with the program helping to guide the team to two district championships. His promotion comes after the departure of former head coach Tom Smith who left to take a job at a nearby school. Johnson is a well-respected coach in the community and his knowledge of the program is expected to provide a seamless transition. The Cougars are coming off a strong season and are looking to build on that momentum with Johnson at the helm. The team is expected to be a top contender in the league once again this year.
