Caleb Thompson Commits to University of Houston
Pittsburgh Central Catholic Vikings wide receiver Caleb Thompson has committed to the University of Houston for the Class of 2027. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound prospect was a key target for the Cougars, who are transitioning to a pass-happy scheme under new coach Clarence McKinney. Thompson's commitment fills a void at receiver, where the Cougars lost several key contributors from last season's team. With an expected starting role on the horizon, Thompson will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact in the Cougars' offense. The University of Houston's strong academic programs in engineering and business also factored into Thompson's decision. He had previously considered several other Power Five programs, but ultimately chose the Cougars for their athletic and academic opportunities.
