Harrisburg Cougars Hire New Offensive Line Coach

The Harrisburg Cougars, a 6A program in central Pennsylvania, have hired former collegiate assistant coach, Mike Johnson, to lead their offensive line. Johnson replaces long-time coach, Mark Davis, who retired after last season. The Cougars finished 7-4 in 2025, falling short in the district semifinals. Johnson brings 15 years of coaching experience, including a stint at Penn State, where he coached under Joe Paterno. The hiring is expected to boost recruiting efforts, as Johnson has established relationships with top linemen in the Mid-Atlantic region. With a stout O-line, the Cougars aim to compete for a district title and make a deeper playoff run in 2026.
