FridayNightPulse Training Tip: Imhotep Charter Panthers' Tight End Speed and Agility Drill

๐Ÿ“ Imhotep Charter PanthersยทWednesday, July 22, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

At 5A programs like Imhotep Charter Panthers, tight ends need to be fast, agile, and reliable. To improve these skills, we're sharing a speed and agility drill specifically designed for TEs. The 'TE Ladder Shuffle' drill consists of 3 sets of 10 reps, with 30 seconds rest between sets. Players start at the bottom of a ladder, then quickly shuffle their feet to the next rung, focusing on quick footwork and explosive acceleration. Coaching cues include 'Fast feet, tight body' and 'Shuffle, don't slide.' This drill translates to game performance by improving a TE's ability to create separation from defenders and quickly get in position to make a play. By incorporating this drill into their summer training, Imhotep Charter Panthers' TEs will be better equipped to make a big impact on the field.
