Imhotep Charter K Cameron Anderson Commits to Houston
Cameron Anderson, a 2027 kicker from Imhotep Charter, has committed to the University of Houston. Anderson chose the Cougars over other Power Five offers. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound specialist is expected to compete for the starting kicker role immediately. Houston's high-tempo offense, which frequently employs a fast-paced, no-huddle approach, should suit Anderson's skills. The Cougars' kicking depth chart is currently thin, providing Anderson with a clear path to playing time. Additionally, Houston's strong academic program, which offers a range of business and engineering courses, aligns with Anderson's academic interests. Anderson previously held an offer from the University of Pittsburgh before decommitting in June 2025. He attended multiple camps at Houston this summer, further solidifying his decision to join the program. Anderson's commitment is a significant addition to the Cougars' 2027 recruiting class.
