The University of Nebraska's historic NCAA Division 1 flag football program is redefining the landscape for female athletes in Texas. As the only Power 4 school with a fully funded D1 varsity program, Nebraska's model is sparking interest among top Texas flag football prospects. "The addition of women's flag football to the NCAA Emerging Sports for Women program has opened doors for talented athletes in Texas," said Tollgate Titans coach, Jane Smith. "We're seeing a surge in interest from top players who are eager to take their game to the next level. Ottawa University, Keiser University and Midland University offer active scholarships, while UT Arlington is developing its D1 program. For Texas flag football athletes, the possibilities are vast and the competition is fierce. To secure a spot on these rosters, athletes must demonstrate exceptional skill, speed and agility. We're advising our top players to focus on developing their skills, building their strength and conditioning, and researching these scholarship opportunities. The path to a D1 flag football scholarship is clear, and we're excited to see where it takes our athletes," said Smith.
