FridayNightPulse: LB Drill for Div II Dominance
This summer, North Kingstown Skippers linebackers are sharpening their skills with a key drill that translates to game-day performance. The 'Shuttle to the Ball' drill targets speed, agility, and reaction time, essential for Div II linebackers. Set up four cones in a square formation, 5 yards apart. Players start at the top cone, then shuttle to the ball (placed on the ground) at each corner, shuffling back to the starting point. Perform 3 sets of 10 reps, with 30 seconds rest between sets. Coaching cues: 'Quick feet, eyes on the ball,' and 'Shuffle, don't run.' This drill simulates the fast-paced, reactive nature of high school football. By mastering the 'Shuttle to the Ball,' North Kingstown Skippers linebackers will be better equipped to read and react to opposing offenses, giving their team a competitive edge in the season ahead.
