Baylor Lands Commitment from Bishop Hendricken TE Jayden Smith

Jayden Smith, a 2027 tight end from Bishop Hendricken High School, has committed to Baylor University. Smith, a standout in the Division I Rhode Island Independent League, chose Baylor for its athletic fit within the Bears' offense. The Hawks' tight end-heavy scheme will translate well to Baylor's system, where Smith can contribute immediately. With a strong depth chart at tight end, Smith will have the opportunity to compete for playing time early in his collegiate career. Baylor's academic program, which offers a range of business and engineering majors, also appealed to Smith. He had previously considered other Division I programs but ultimately chose Baylor for its combination of athletic and academic opportunities.
