Austin Thompson Commits to Kansas State
North Kingstown Skippers tight end Austin Thompson has committed to Kansas State University. The Class of 2025 standout chose the Wildcats after considering several Division I programs. Thompson's commitment fits the Kansas State's athletic profile, as he will join a team that utilizes tight ends in its passing game. The Wildcats' depth chart at tight end is expected to be competitive, and Thompson will have the opportunity to contribute immediately. Kansas State's academic program, which offers a strong engineering program, also appealed to Thompson. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound tight end holds a 3.7 GPA and is a two-time All-Division II selection. Thompson decommitted from Syracuse in April after visiting the Orange's campus. He will join the Wildcats' 2025 recruiting class, which is expected to be one of the top classes in the Big 12 Conference.
