๐Ÿ“ Lakewood GatorsยทWednesday, July 1, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

The Lakewood Gators, a 4A program from Sumter, South Carolina, have officially broken ground on a $3 million facility upgrade. The project, set to be completed in time for the upcoming season, will feature state-of-the-art locker rooms, a renovated weight room and a new turf field. The upgrade is expected to give the Gators a competitive edge in the SCHSL 4A division, where they have struggled in recent years, posting a 5-7 record in 2025. The new facilities will also serve as a major recruiting tool, allowing the program to attract top talent from across the state. Program officials believe the upgrade will not only improve the team's performance on the field but also enhance the overall experience for student-athletes and fans.
