FridayNightPulse Training Tip: Gaffney Indians RB Drill
The Gaffney Indians' running backs will be put to the test this season in the 4A division. To prepare them for the physicality of their opponents, the coaching staff has implemented a drill that targets explosive acceleration and agility. The drill, dubbed 'Ladder Lateral,' requires players to navigate through a ladder set up in a zig-zag pattern. Players start at one end and must quickly change direction, accelerating through each ladder rung. Sets: 3-4, Reps: 10-12 each leg. Coaching cues: 'Quick feet, fast hands' and 'Change direction, not speed.' This drill translates to game performance by improving RBs' ability to quickly identify and exploit defensive weaknesses, creating opportunities for big plays. The Gaffney Indians' RBs will be ready to make a statement this season with this drill in their arsenal.
