Gaffney Indians' Multisport Star Sees Flag Football as Path to College Opportunity
Gaffney Indians' standout athlete, Emily Wilson, has been a force to be reckoned with on the field, exceling in multiple sports throughout her high school career. However, her sights are now set on flag football as a means to secure a college scholarship. Wilson's impressive skills have caught the attention of several NAIA programs, including Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, both of which offer up to 12 scholarships. The University of Nebraska's inaugural 2028 season has also piqued her interest, with coaches Liz and Katie Sowers leading the charge. Wilson is encouraged to create a highlight tape showcasing her abilities and contact these programs directly to explore scholarship opportunities. As the 2026 season approaches, Wilson's focus on flag football will undoubtedly pay off, potentially opening doors to top NAIA programs and beyond.
