As the inaugural 2028 season approaches, top female multisport athletes are shifting their focus to flag football for college scholarship opportunities. For South Pointe Stallions' standout athlete, Emily Wilson, the decision to transition to flag football is a strategic move to capitalize on emerging programs. The University of Nebraska, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is a prime destination, offering NCAA Division 1 scholarships. Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse, also offers up to 12 NAIA scholarships. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are active recruiters in the NAIA. Wilson can take concrete steps by creating a highlight tape showcasing her skills and contacting these programs directly. With UT Arlington's NCAA Division 1 program in development, Wilson will be monitoring their progress for potential opportunities.
