Gaffney Indians Defensive End Jayden Thomas Commits to Army
Jayden Thomas, a Class of 2027 defensive end from Gaffney High School, has committed to play football at the United States Military Academy. The 4A Indians standout chose Army over other Division I offers, citing the Black Knights' 3-4 defensive scheme as a key factor in his decision. Thomas believes the team's need for depth at defensive end will provide him with opportunities to contribute immediately. Additionally, he is drawn to Army's rigorous academic program, which aligns with his academic goals. Thomas holds a 3.5 GPA and scored 1,100 on the SAT. He had previously committed to another school but reopened his recruitment in May. Thomas is expected to enroll at Army in the summer of 2027 and will have three years of eligibility remaining. He is the first commitment from the Gaffney Indians in the Class of 2027.
