FridayNightPulse: DE Power Drill for Gaffney Indians

๐Ÿ“ Gaffney IndiansยทFriday, July 31, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

This summer, Gaffney Indians defensive end prospects can improve their explosiveness and pass-rushing skills with the 'Power Stance Blast' drill. Set up cones in a zig-zag pattern, 5 yards apart. Players start in a three-point stance, hands on the ground. On the whistle, they explosively jump up, landing softly on the balls of their feet. Immediately, they transition into a pass-rushing stance, driving their feet and hands into the ground. Repeat for 3 sets of 10 reps. Coaching cues include: 'Explode up, land soft' and 'Drive your feet, drive your hands.' This drill translates to game performance by improving speed, agility, and power. It also enhances the ability to quickly change direction and accelerate off the line of scrimmage, making DEs like Gaffney's more effective pass rushers.
