Tyler Taylor Commits to Baylor University
Brandon Valley Lynx kicker Tyler Taylor has committed to Baylor University for the Class of 2027. Taylor, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound specialist, chose Baylor for its strong kicking game and the opportunity to contribute immediately. The Bears' 4-3 scheme will allow Taylor to showcase his leg strength and accuracy. With the departure of a senior kicker, Taylor sees a clear path to starting duties. Baylor's academic program, ranked among the nation's top 50, also appealed to Taylor, who maintains a 3.7 GPA. Taylor had previously committed to the University of Nebraska but decommitted in April after a coaching change. He attended Baylor's summer camp and was impressed by the coaching staff and facilities. Taylor's commitment adds depth to the Bears' special teams unit and solidifies their kicking game for the next three years.
