Malik Thomas Commits to Iowa State
Pierre Governors Class of 2027 offensive lineman Malik Thomas has committed to Iowa State University. The 6-foot-4, 275-pound Thomas is a versatile blocker who excels in both pass protection and run blocking. Iowa State's scheme, which emphasizes zone blocking and outside zone runs, aligns with Thomas' skills. The Cyclones' depth chart at right tackle is expected to be competitive, and Thomas sees an opportunity to contribute early in his career. Academically, Thomas is drawn to Iowa State's strong engineering program, which will allow him to pursue his passion for mechanical engineering. Thomas had previously committed to South Dakota State University but decommitted in April to explore other options.
