Brandon Valley's Malik Wilson Commits to TCU
Brandon Valley Lynx cornerback Malik Wilson has committed to play for the TCU Horned Frogs, the school announced Thursday. Wilson, a rising senior in the Class of 2027, will join the Horned Frogs' secondary, which is expected to feature a mix of man-to-man and zone coverage under new defensive coordinator Joe Gillespie. The Lynx's 11-man offense, which averaged 35 points per game last season, should prepare Wilson well for TCU's scheme. Wilson's commitment comes after a strong showing at TCU's summer football camp, where he impressed coaches with his speed and agility. The Lynx's defense, which returns several key starters, will look to replace Wilson's production in the secondary. Wilson's commitment is a significant get for TCU, which is looking to rebuild its secondary after losing several key players to graduation. Wilson was previously committed to SDSU before decommitting in May.
