Rough Riders' Talented Multisport Athlete Eyes Flag Football Scholarship Opportunities
Roosevelt Rough Riders' standout multisport athlete, Emily Wilson, is shifting her focus to girls flag football as she pursues college scholarship opportunities. Wilson's impressive skillset and dedication have caught the attention of several programs, including the University of Nebraska, which will introduce its inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football team in 2028 under the guidance of coaches Liz and Katie Sowers. Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse with up to 12 NAIA scholarships available, is also actively recruiting Wilson. Additionally, Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, have expressed interest in the talented athlete. UT Arlington, a developing NCAA Division 1 program, is also monitoring Wilson's progress.
