Ohio State Extends Offer to Elite Cornerback Darius Jackson
Ohio State University has extended an offer to Darius Jackson, a Class of 2025 cornerback from Whitehaven High School in Memphis, Tennessee. Jackson, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound defensive back, has been a standout performer for the Tigers, recording 45 tackles and 10 pass breakups as a sophomore. He has also been clocked at 4.45 seconds in the 40-yard dash. In addition to the Buckeyes, Jackson has received offers from Alabama, LSU, and Georgia. The Tigers' shutdown corner is also being courted by Tennessee and Ole Miss. Jackson's recruitment is expected to be a highly competitive one, with several top programs vying for his services. The 17-year-old plans to take official visits to Ohio State and Alabama in the coming months, with a decision likely to be made in the fall of 2024.
