Brentwood Academy Eagles Flag Football Athletes Eye National Scholarship Opportunities
As TSSAA's flag football pilot district expansion continues to unfold, female athletes from Tennessee are taking notice of emerging scholarship pathways. Brentwood Academy Eagles, a DII-AA powerhouse, are among those poised to capitalize on these opportunities. With the University of Nebraska's inaugural 2028 season on the horizon, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, Tennessee athletes can now consider the Cornhuskers as a viable Power 4 option. Additionally, Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, offer NAIA scholarships, while Midland University, Nebraska, is actively recruiting flag football talent. Meanwhile, UT Arlington is developing its NCAA D1 program, though scholarship offerings have yet to be announced. Eagles athletes can take concrete steps by researching these programs and reaching out to coaches to explore potential scholarship opportunities.
