Katy Tigers DE DeShawn Walker Commits to Navy
In a surprise move DeShawn Walker defensive end for the Katy Tigers has announced his commitment to the United States Naval Academy. Walker a 3-star prospect chose Navy over several other top programs citing the schools strong academics and disciplined football program as major factors in his decision. On the field Walker is known for his explosive speed and agility which allows him to dominate at the line of scrimmage. At 6'2 and 235 pounds he has the size and strength to compete at the next level. Walker is expected to make an immediate impact for the Midshipmen and is looking forward to being part of a team with a rich tradition of excellence. With his commitment Walker becomes the latest in a long line of talented players from the Katy Tigers program to move on to play at the Division 1 level.
