Aledo Bearcats Break Ground on $3M Facility Upgrade
The Aledo Bearcats, a powerhouse program in 5A Texas high school football, have officially broken ground on a $3 million facility upgrade. The Bearcats have been a consistent force in the UIL 5A classification, posting a 34-6 record over the past three seasons. The upgrade, which includes a new weight room, locker rooms and training facilities, is expected to give the program a significant recruiting edge. 'This upgrade will allow us to compete at the highest level,' said Aledo head coach Trent Hannahs. 'We're excited to provide our student-athletes with the best possible resources to succeed on and off the field.' The Bearcats will open the season in late August, and the new facilities are expected to be complete in time for the start of the 2026 season.
