Austin Harris Commits to Baylor University
Corner Canyon Chargers quarterback Austin Harris has committed to Baylor University, the sophomore announced on social media. Harris, a member of the Class of 2027, chose the Big 12 program over offers from Utah, Arizona State and others. Baylor's pro-style offense, which features a strong emphasis on play-action passing and running, aligns with Harris' skills as a dual-threat quarterback. The Bears' quarterback depth chart is expected to be competitive, but Harris believes he has a legitimate opportunity to earn playing time early in his career. Additionally, Baylor's academic program and reputation for producing successful graduates were significant factors in his decision. Harris previously decommitted from Utah State in March, citing a desire to explore other options. He is expected to visit Baylor's campus in the coming weeks to finalize his plans.
