Carson Smith Commits to Army
Bingham Miners kicker Carson Smith, a Class of 2027 standout, has committed to the United States Military Academy. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound specialist will join the Black Knights' program in the fall of 2027. Smith's commitment comes after a thorough evaluation of his options, with Army being the best fit for his athletic and academic goals. The Miners' high-powered offense, which averaged 35.6 points per game in 2025, will be a natural fit for Smith's skills. He is expected to compete for a starting role as a freshman, with the opportunity to contribute immediately. Smith's commitment is a testament to his hard work and dedication, as well as his desire to serve his country. He will enroll at Army in the summer of 2027 and begin preparing for the 2028 season.
