Skyridge Falcons Flag Football Recruits Eye New Scholarship Opportunities
As the UHSAA's flag football pilot district expansion gains momentum, Skyridge Falcons athletes are taking note of emerging scholarship pathways. With the University of Nebraska set to launch its inaugural 2028 season, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, the Big Ten program is poised to become a powerhouse in women's flag football. Other NAIA programs, including Ottawa University, Kansas, Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are actively recruiting and offering up to 12 scholarships. UT Arlington's NCAA D1 program, while still in development, is also on the radar for Texas-based athletes. Falcons recruits can explore these options by attending summer camps and showcasing their skills. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers are hosting a series of coaching clinics in the coming weeks, providing a unique opportunity for Skyridge athletes to connect with the Nebraska program. By taking proactive steps, Falcons flag football players can position themselves for scholarship opportunities in the rapidly evolving world of women's college flag football.
