Highland's Lone Peak Knights are known for producing top-notch athletes, and one multisport standout is now setting her sights on flag football. With the inaugural 2028 season of the University of Nebraska's Power 5 program on the horizon, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, local talent is taking notice. The Knights' star athlete has been in contact with Ottawa University, Kansas, which offers up to 12 NAIA flag football scholarships. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are also actively recruiting multisport athletes like her. UT Arlington, a developing NCAA D1 program, is monitoring local talent but has not yet announced scholarship offerings.
