DeShawn Anderson: Cavemen RB Seeks to Break New Ground
American Fork's DeShawn Anderson has been making waves in the 6A ranks with his impressive speed and agility on the field. Last season, the Class of 2026 running back averaged 8.2 yards per carry, the highest mark in the UHSAA 6A classification. Anderson's breakout performance has caught the attention of college scouts, with the University of Utah recently extending an offer, the first Power 4 scholarship offer in program history. As a freshman, Anderson already demonstrated his ability to make an impact, rushing for 645 yards and 7 touchdowns. This offseason, he's been working on refining his pass-catching skills and increasing his strength in the weight room. With a strong summer camp performance, Anderson is poised to take on a larger role for the Cavemen in the fall. Scouts are watching to see if Anderson can build on his impressive freshman campaign and become a dominant force in the 6A ranks.
