Jalen Young Commits to Baylor
Corner Canyon Chargers quarterback Jalen Young has committed to Baylor University for the Class of 2025. The 6A standout quarterback chose Baylor due to the Bears' pro-style offense, which aligns with his skills and playing style. Young believes the opportunity to compete for the starting position immediately, given the current depth chart, was a significant factor in his decision. Additionally, Baylor's strong academic program and reputation for developing student-athletes also played a role in his commitment. Young, a two-time all-region selection, holds a 3.8 GPA and has been recognized for his community service. He had previously considered the University of Utah before recommitting to Baylor in May 2026. The Chargers' signal-caller is expected to enroll at Baylor in the summer of 2027, pending NCAA clearance.
