Corner Canyon Cornerback Austin Taylor Commits to UTSA Roadrunners
Austin Taylor, a rising senior cornerback from Corner Canyon High School, has committed to the University of Texas at San Antonio Roadrunners. The 6-foot, 175-pound defender chose UTSA over other Division I offers, citing the team's aggressive defensive scheme as a key factor in his decision. Taylor believes he will have an opportunity to contribute immediately, potentially filling a void in the secondary. The Chargers' cornerback also praised UTSA's academic programs, stating that the university's commitment to student-athlete success aligns with his own goals. Taylor previously held an offer from Utah State before decommitting in favor of exploring other options. He is expected to participate in UTSA's summer camp in August, where he will further develop his skills and prepare for the upcoming season.
