To improve their speed, agility, and quickness, we recommend incorporating the 'Ladder Shuffle' drill into their training regimen. This drill involves setting up a ladder on the field and having the DE player perform a series of lateral shuffles through the ladder, focusing on quick footwork and change of direction. Start with 3 sets of 10 reps, resting for 30 seconds between sets. Coaching cues include 'light on your feet' and 'explosive cuts.'
