As the University of Nebraska prepares to launch its inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football program in 2028, Highland Springs Springers prospects are taking notice. Coached by Liz and Katie Sowers, the Cornhuskers' program is expected to be a major player in the Big Ten. For Springers athletes, this means potential opportunities to join a Power 4 program. Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, also offer flag football scholarships. Midland University, Nebraska, is an active recruiter. Springers prospects can take concrete steps to increase their chances of being recruited by these schools. By attending summer camps and showcases, athletes can gain exposure and demonstrate their skills. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers will be scouting top talent for the Cornhuskers' inaugural season. Springers athletes who excel in these events may be among the first to receive scholarship offers.
