Bulldozing the Competition: A Drill for Westfield Bulldogs OL

๐Ÿ“ Westfield BulldogsยทFriday, July 3, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

This summer, Westfield Bulldogs OL players can improve their strength and technique with the 'Bulldozer' drill. Set up a line of cones 5 yards apart, with a mini trampoline at the end. Players will perform 3 sets of 10 reps: start in a 3-point stance, explode off the line, and drive through the cones, landing on the trampoline. Coaching cues: 'Drive through the cones like a bulldozer,' 'Keep your head up and eyes forward,' and 'Explosive power, not just speed.' This drill translates to game performance by improving foot speed, agility, and the ability to absorb contact. It also simulates the OL's role in clearing a path for the running back, making it an essential addition to any 6A program's training regimen.
