Stone Bridge Bulldogs Break Ground on $3M Facility Upgrade
The Stone Bridge Bulldogs, a perennial powerhouse in 5A Virginia high school football, have broken ground on a $3 million facility upgrade ahead of the upcoming season. The project, expected to be completed in time for fall practice, will feature a new turf field, upgraded locker rooms and weight room facilities, and improved concessions and seating areas. The upgrade is seen as a major recruiting tool, as the Bulldogs look to continue their dominance in the 5A classification. With a recent record of 45-10 over the past five seasons, Stone Bridge is a top contender for the state title, and the new facilities are expected to give them a competitive edge. The Bulldogs will be led by head coach Mickey Thompson, who has guided the team to multiple state championships.
