Darius Davis Commits to TCU
Darius Davis, a Class of 2026 kicker from Oscar Smith High School, has committed to play football at Texas Christian University. Davis, a 6A standout, chose TCU for its strong kicking tradition and the opportunity to compete in the Big 12 Conference. The Horned Frogs' scheme, which emphasizes high-percentage field goals, aligns with Davis's strengths as a kicker. He also cited the university's strong academic programs, including its prestigious business school, as a major factor in his decision. Davis had previously committed to Virginia Tech but reopened his recruitment in April after a coaching change. He joins a TCU kicking corps that is expected to be one of the top units in the conference. Davis's commitment is a significant pickup for the Horned Frogs, who are looking to rebuild their special teams unit this season.
