Highland Springs Springers Girls Flag Football Players Target New Scholarship Opportunities

๐Ÿ“ Highland Springs SpringersยทMonday, July 27, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As the VHSL flag football pilot program expands to more districts in Texas, top prospects from Highland Springs Springers are eyeing new scholarship pathways. The University of Nebraska, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is set to launch its inaugural NCAA Division 1 girls flag football program in 2028. Nebraska offers a Power 4 conference affiliation and a strong reputation for supporting women's athletics. Other NAIA programs, including Ottawa University, Kansas, Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are also actively recruiting top talent. Athletes interested in pursuing flag football scholarships should research these programs and connect with coaches to explore opportunities. The UT Arlington program, while not yet offering scholarships, is in development and may become a viable option in the future.
