Oklahoma Offers Rising CB Carson Thompson
The University of Oklahoma has extended an offer to Class of 2025 cornerback Carson Thompson, a standout defensive back for the Oscar Smith Tigers in 6A Virginia high school football. Thompson, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound athlete, boasts impressive speed and agility, clocking a 4.52 40-yard dash at a recent combine. He also recorded 12 pass breakups and 2 interceptions last season. Thompson has already received offers from Virginia Tech and East Carolina, and is also being pursued by other Power Five programs. As the Tigers prepare for the upcoming season, Thompson is expected to be a key contributor on defense. With the Oklahoma offer, Thompson's recruitment is heating up, and he is anticipated to make a decision by the end of the summer. He plans to take official visits to Oklahoma and Virginia Tech in August, with a commitment potentially coming in September.
